The center offers accommodation in a house located on a rise looking out over the Hellsö bay and is just a few metres from the sea.
Two apartments:
1) 2 rooms, kitchen and WC
2) 1 room, kitchen and WCShared shower. Bed linen and towels are supplied. The building has good central heating for cold weather.
If needed there is also the possibility to use a simple photography darkroom
located at the school, a ceramic studio with a kiln and as well as a smith's
cottage located at the local museum.
There is no fee for people coming from outside Nordic countries (except during
winter when there is a heating charge of 6 euro/day). For others the fee is
10 euro/day. The centre arranges excursions and boat trips for the artists
to local historical, cultural and natural sites in the area.
2 bicycles are also available and when necessary transportation by taxi. The
distance from the center to Hellsö village (shop) is 1 km and to Karlby
village (bank and post office) 8 km. There is no bank automat on the island.
The ferry port is 10 km from the residence.
